Chain Account Specialist (Food Broker)

We are seeking a results-oriented producer to be our next Chain Account Specialist to be based in Orlando, FL.  

Who we're looking for:
The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of wholesale food manufacturer experience, preferably at the market level, with a strong background in outside sales account management. Culinary experience is a plus, but a proven ability in account management, relationship management, business development, or B2B sales is essential.

Reporting to the Florida Market Director, this role involves developing and executing customized sales strategies for multi-unit chain restaurant accounts. Success requires a collaborative yet self-directed approach, strong prioritization skills, and a consultative selling style that builds trust with clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders at multi-unit chain restaurants using a consultative selling approach
  • Prospect new business within a defined territory with support from Marketing and Business Intelligence resources
  • Drive market growth with new menu placements and conversions with key operators
  • Influence decision-makers and build trust with multi-unit restaurant chains
  • Stay informed on key differentiators and the competitive landscape
  • Develop creative solutions for chefs and on-site restaurant operators
  • Collaborate with local leadership and sales support teams to execute market penetration strategies
  • Maintain detailed CRM updates to track progress and identify effective strategies
  • Manage sales pipelines and forecast accurately
  • Prepare or learn to cook food products and design menu combinations to support the sales process
What to expect:
  • The typical work week: Monday through Friday
  • During the food trade show season, the position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, with the ability to safely lift case goods (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Travel (Driving): Position requires daily motor vehicle travel to assigned locations. The candidate must possess an active Driver’s License and a clean driving record
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience managing key accounts, market prospecting, and sales pipeline development
  • 3-5 years of experience in food brokerage, foodservice operations management, or with a national food/beverage manufacturer
  • Skilled in developing, executing, and maintaining effective sales plans
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and inspire change
  • Positive, proactive professional who excels at building meaningful connections
  • Team-oriented collaborator with the adaptability to learn and grow alongside diverse groups
