Bookkeeper / Accounting Manager
Affinity Group is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead financial operations and office administration at our Farmingdale, NY location. After completing training, this role will transition to a hybrid schedule with 3-4 days in the office and 1-2 days remote per week. Working closely with the Executive Vice President (EVP), this position is essential in managing financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Represent Affinity in an ethical and professional manner consistent with our Core Values
- Treats associates, customers, clients, and guests with respect and embraces diversity in all interactions.
- Support the development and delivery of monthly P&L statements.
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate and complete records including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Manage Deposits
- Assist in trade management
- Support the organization’s expense report system.
- Process timely accurate payment of the organization’s invoices
- Communicate with various departments to discuss accounting charges and discrepancies.
- Support the development of timely and accurate balance sheets.
- Support the timely and accurate collection and allocation of commission revenue within the Metro NY Region
- Analyze financial information and report variances to the controller.
- Support the EVP with various tasks as assigned
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm
- Desk-based role with occasional office administration duties.
- Collaboration with senior leadership and finance teams.
- Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, finance, or office management.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft O365, and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Experience in the food industry, grocery, foodservice, or distribution.
- Experience with CRM or financial management software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
