SUMMARY:  The Distributor Manager is responsible in providing excellent customer service to our distributor community and Clients.  This individual is highly detail-oriented and results-oriented.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To provide product and service support to all foodservice distributors.
  • To participate at various distributor and food related trade shows.
  • To participate in various product demonstrations and in-house promotions both at the distributor and end-user levels.
  • To build an excellent rapport and mutual business relationship with principals and distributors.
  • To review monthly distributors’ sales reports with Affinity Group management and   distributors’ category managers/buyer(s).
  • To prepare and submit to Manager a monthly planner outlining their territory coverage for the upcoming months (ensuring a balanced coverage).
  • To maintain and strive to reach sales and budget projections since sales performance reviews and bonuses will be based on these targets.
  • To present and prepare all distributor trade spending and book distributor promos with respective distributors.  This is to include flyers, trade shows rebates and O&A programs.

The successful candidates must possess the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must have own car and possess a valid Ontario Driver’s license.
  • Must have thorough understanding of distribution/supplier network.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of products being sold.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must understand marketing and product merchandising concepts.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Must possess strong analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Able to work independently
