Affinity Group is pleased to offer a Summer Internship Program to help support growth in our Memphis market. This is a great opportunity for a passionate, professional student with an entrepreneurial spirit. This position will be based out of our Memphis office, reporting to our Memphis Market Manager. We can work in partnership with a specific curriculum to ensure the participation meets credit requirements.

Who we're looking for:
The right candidate will have a passion for learning and will support the local sales teams.  Activity includes, but is not limited to:
  • Food sample preparation
  • Support at food shows, sales meetings and operator presentations
  • Product focused sales calls
  • CRM entry and management
  • Office warehouse support

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality.
  • Clear communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally at all levels. Strong listening and relationship building skills.
  • Passion for food and the endless possibilities of how products can be prepared.
  • Creativity. Ability to create and recommend food menu combinations in support of the selling cycle.
  • Self-motivation and drive to succeed. Must have initiative-taking approach and take ownership of your client relationships.
  • Savvy time management. Ability to balance competing priorities while traveling to various locations.
What to expect:
  • The typical work week: Monday through Friday- 32 hours per week maximum
  • The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, with the ability to safely lift case goods (30-35 lbs.).
  • Travel (Driving): Position requires daily motor vehicle travel to assigned locations. The candidate must possess an active Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
  • The specified timeframe for the position is 8-10 weeks depending on curriculum requirements.
